Writing Tip of the day: gems and shyte

richardstanleyBy now you have bounced from things you have written that are awesome to things that were complete shyte. This is normal. Ignore the temptation to start rewriting now that you are well underway, just make sidenotes here and there on what you are looking to change on a later date. Who knows, maybe what you wrote and is shyte is actually brilliant and just covered with a bit of mud (and shyte). if you delete it now you will never know, plus you will be killing your total word-count. So write on, McDuff! Any first draft is supposed to be awful, that is what rewriting is for and after rewrite, get someone to read and edit it. This is the only way you will know what you feel about it now is actually true.
