Interesting movie, though it is still a clear rip-off of Bram Stoker‘s fictional character Dracula, and in my opinion it didn’t have to be.
This is an action packed story about a man looking to protect his family and taking in the dark forces to do so, based on the premise that if you had everything you hold dear on the line and the option to do so when wouldn’t you? Because that is the real story here and not that some ancient vampire gives Lord Dracul superhuman powers and who, if we can trust the history books, was a fierce warlord and rivaled Jengis Kahn on the battlefield.
So no, when it comes to the title any other title and naming would have been better for me. This is a bridging version between two words that should have been kept apart, as history needs to be regarded as moderate truth (moderate as it is always written through the eyes of the victor and with bias opinions) and fiction needs to stay fiction. I do not want to feed the people who somewhere in the back of their minds believe that Vampire Dracula has really existed and revel in the fear of things that go bump in the night.
